The papercrafters meet in the Methodist Hall on the 3rd Monday of the month at 1.30pm. We have a good long session until 4 o’clock as there are quite a lot of materials to get out and tidy up. We usually have to use the vacuum cleaner before we go or we should be in trouble from management! Most of our members prefer card making and we have a go at anything seasonal – Christmas at the moment- but also birthday, get well, children’s cards etc..
I try to demonstrate 1 or 2 new ideas or skills each time we meet and I always have suggestions if people need them. We have learnt heat embossing, rubber stamping, decoupage, tea bagging (I will tell you what it is if you ask me!) and general design tips. We have also had a dabble at modern scrapbooking producing a decorated sheet about each member which you may have seen at the Open Day.
All you need to bring are scissors, pencil, rubber, glue stick and a cutting mat if you’ve got one, so do come and join us.

Ruth Warner Room
The Flower Arrangers meet in the Ruth Warner room where we help each other to practice and improve our skills in using flowers, pots or any plant material for the purpose of decorating our homes or making arrangements for special occasions. We learn about how different colours and textures can be used together, and how to make an arrangement using minimal materials. We have fun helping each other, and especially welcome newcomers that would like to learn from our experience and also those that can bring their skills to the group.
We are a small friendly group. just waiting for new members to bring in their ideas so that we can take them forward.
